FAQ's
When is the best time to have Baby Portraits?
It depends on you and your baby. The little ones sleep for most of the time and
you need time to adjust to motherhood, without unnecessary visitors to hassle you
both. I found that the best stage is about when baby is a few weeks old. However,
it is really your choice to decide when best to have a photographer round to your
home.
How long does the photo session last?
Your appointment will last about an hour from setting up to clearing out. We bring
our own mini-studio with us to set up in your home, just natural light and a back
drop. This ensures there is no stress on the little ones. We are used to working
with children so we will wait for that precious moment that will make you smile
every time you see the photo.
The intriguing part of photographing babies is that you must be prepared for all
eventualities. Being a parent of two, I know that a baby can be happy one minute
and the next, grumpy. If your baby does not respond to me making a fool of myself,
then I'll come back at another time. But often this does not happen.
What happens after the photo session?
Two weeks after your shoot we will return with a CD of all of your photos (usually
around 100) and a selection of beautiful prints to answer all of your needs, at
an affordable price.
Is there an obligation to buy the photographs?
No! There is no obligation whatsoever to buy any prints. Why pay for something that
you do not like?
How do I book a session?
By phoning 0191 2850772 or 07961 162038. An important factor that you must keep
in mind when booking is baby's routine. Do not interrupt their routine. It is best
to shoot around feeds and naps. A baby who is tired and hungry is not going to smile
for the camera.
Dates for session are booked one to two weeks in advance due to the demand.
Why are the sessions free?
Because of the No Obligation to buy policy. Which means if you do not like the images
then say so and I will not encourage you to buy photographs that you don't wish
to have.
